KAMERLINK, STARK, POWERS & MCNICHOLAS, LLC ANNOUNCE THREE NEW PARTNERS TO ITS TEAM OF FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS

CHICAGO – Lydia Kamerlink, founding partner at the Chicago-based family law firm of Kamerlink, Stark, Powers & McNicholas, LLC, is pleased to announce the promotions of Shanna Purcell, Alison G. Turoff, and Jami M. Buzinski to partner.

Shanna F. Purcell joined Kamerlink, Stark, Powers & McNicholas in May 2014 as an associate.  Prior to the merger of the Law Office of Bernadette McNicholas with Kamerlink, Stark & Powers, LLC, Ms. Purcell was an associate for Bernadette McNicholas.  Ms. Purcell has practiced exclusively in the area of family law for more than fourteen years.  She received her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School in 1999, and is trained to practice collaborative law through the Collaborative Law Institute.  Ms. Purcell is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.

Alison G. Turoff joined Kamerlink, Stark, Powers & McNicholas in February 2014 as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Turoff worked as an associate for another prominent family law attorney, Scott Colky (1952-2013), until his unexpected and unfortunate passing.  Ms. Turoff began exclusively practicing in the area of family law in 2004 after completing a two year clerkship with the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Wheaton, Illinois.  She received her Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in 2002 and was the Managing Editor of Northwestern’s Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Ms. Turoff is an experienced litigator who excels in cases involving complicated financial matters on both the trial and appellate levels.  Ms. Turoff is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

Jami Buzinski became an associate with Kamerlink, Stark, Powers & McNicholas in 2008 after having served as a law clerk with the firm since 2005. Ms. Buzinski has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since starting to practice in 2008.  She received her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 2008, and her  B.A. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  Ms. Buzinski has grown from a law clerk to an experienced litigator on both the trial and appellate levels within the firm.  Ms. Buzinski is a member of the American Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association.
